What does “storyteller” mean to you?
Storytelling is an act of curation. It’s the way in which one selectively reduces the infinite complexity of the cosmos into a series of moments that carry a residue or aftertaste of the ineffable.
Express your work in twelve or fewer words.
If they work can be expressed in words, why make it work?
What’s one location you’d love to film in and why?
I want to film the horses jumping bonfires in the festival of St. Anthony in the village of San Bartolome de los Pinares, Spain.
Complete the following statement: If you look inside my bag or backpack, you will always find…
A tangle of cords.
What is your most memorable movie theater experience?
I saw a screening of The Little Mermaid before it was finished. Parts were still in black and white pencil drawings. We filled out questionnaires afterwards. I think my mom said the fish cooking scene was too scary. I still have a love for animated musicals.
What do you read first thing in the morning?
Lakers blogs.
OneFifty is a new incubator from Time Warner, home of Warner Bros., HBO, and Turner. We’re excited about discovering new kinds of storytelling and conceived OneFifty as a place where artists are encouraged to experiment and explore creative boundaries.
