Melonie Diaz is a film, stage, and television actress. Diaz is best known for her role in the award-winning film Fruitvale Station. She also had key roles in Michel Gondry’s Be Kind Rewind  and Peter Sollett’s Raising Victor Vargas.

I realized I wanted to be a storyteller when I was twelve. I did my first play and felt the audience react to one of the things I said. It's a powerful thing to make another person feel something.
