OneFifty premieres its first feature: Goldbricks in Bloom
On Thursday, November 17, 2016, OneFifty and Vimeo partnered to premiere Goldbricks in Bloom, a feature film written, directed and edited by OneFifty creator Danny Sangra.
The first feature film from Sangra, this social satire explores what it means to be an artist today by interweaving the story of a self-obsessed group of disenchanted young creatives with the mythic rise and fall of a New York painter. The film stars Zosia Mamet (Girls), Tavi Gevinson (“Enough Said”), Jake Hoffman (“The Wolf of Wall Street”), Evan Jonigkeit (“Bone Tomahawk”), Leo Fitzpatrick (“Kids”), Waris Ahluwalia (“The Life Aquatic”), Margaret Clunie (“Victoria”), Carson Meyer, Tony Arcabascio, Kat Clements, Tim Renouf, Peter Davis, Adelind Horan, and Sam Hamill.
The premiere was held at the Arena Cinelounge in Los Angeles, CA, where it continued on a week-long theatrical run, while simultaneously available on demand on Vimeo.com as a day-in-date release. In addition to the premiere in theatres and online, Goldbricks enjoyed a limited release at several independent theaters across the United States by Emerging Pictures.
We celebrated the release of the film with an after party at the Spare Room in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, where the film’s cast and crew, OneFifty and Vimeo, along with Autre Magazine and DJ BJ Panda Bear gathered for some bowling and specialty cocktails.
