OneFifty is a natural evolution for Time Warner, complementing the unique work of Time Warner’s divisions. We bridge the gap between independent film and our brands – HBO, Turner, and Warner Bros. – to create compelling content for diverse global audiences.
We mine for stories from both existing and new pipelines to discover innovative storytelling and engage bold creators. As an incubator, we encourage the best writers, directors, artists, and non-traditional storytellers to challenge creative boundaries tackling all forms of media: features, series, digital, animation, interactive, documentary, VR, experimental and more.
To create content by investing in artists with a fresh perspective and original voice, who tell distinct stories and are willing to take risks with story, form and genre. Simply put, we’re trying to develop stories differently.
Young brothers Jack, Sam, Albert and Harry Warner bought their first bit of projection equipment, a Kinetoscope, not long after the turn of the 20th Century. They only spent $150. It was a small investment, but it fueled the Warners’ interest in moving pictures and, years later, the founding of what today is the world’s leading film and television studio, Warner Bros.
We believe small investments can lead to big things.
Like a VC firm, OneFifty invests in storytellers with the goal of advancing great content within our businesses and across the industry. We focus on developing compelling stories with our artists, and finance proof-of-concepts targeting further development at one of our divisions.
We are a part of Time Warner Inc., a global leader in media and entertainment with businesses in television networks and film and TV entertainment, uses its industry-leading operating scale and brands to create, package and deliver high-quality content worldwide on a multi-platform basis.
